ORDER :

1. The Director, Andhra Pradesh Open School Society, Hyderabad in his letter 2nd read above has stated that Government in the G.O.1st read above issued orders declaring SSC(APOSS) as equivalent to SSC of Board of Secondary Education, A.P. and it is valid for both higher education and employment. he has requested for declaring the SSC (APOSS) pass certificate holders eligible for admission into intermediate (+2 courses) in Junior Colleges in the State from the academic year 2010-11.
2. The Secretary, Board of Intermediate Education in his letter 3rd read above has stated that the Board of Intermediate Education has recognized the Secondary School Certificate issued by National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS), New Delhi as equivalent to SSC of A.P. and accordingly issuing eligibility certificates for the purpose of higher studies and employment. The APOSS has adopted NIOS New Delhi modules, in exercise of the powers of the Board conferred with Act 2 of 1971 under 9 (i), ii, xii, xviii and as per the recommendation of the 52nd Board meeting of the Board of Intermediate Education, it is feasible to recognize the SCC of the APOSS as equivalent to SSC of Board of Secondary Education, A.P. Hyderabad and requested to accord recognition to SSC (APOSS) as equivalent to SSC of Board of Secondary Education, A.P. with effect from the academic year 2010-11 onwards, so as to enable the Board of Intermediate Education to issue eligibility certificates in this regard.
3. Government after careful consideration of the matter, hereby accord permission to the Secretary, Board of Intermediate Education to recognize the SSC (APOSS) as equivalent to SSC of Board of Secondary Education, A.P. with effect from the academic year 2010-11 onwards.
4. The Secretary, Board of Intermediate Education A.P., Hyderabad shall take further action in the matter accordingly.
