EDUCATION (PE) DEPARTMENT – APOSS — SSC (Open Schools) Public Examination and Intermediate (Open School) Public Examinations – Certain exemptions to the Physical Handicapped candidates appearing for the SSC & Inter examinations under Open School System – Adoption of relevant G.Os to the APOSS Exams – Permission Accorded – Orders – Issued.

ORDER:

  1. In the reference 1st read above, the Director, Andhra Pradesh Open School Society, Hyderabad has informed that in pursuance to the Government Orders issued vide G.O.Rt.No.723, S.E.(Budget-SSA) Department dated 27-9-2008, SSC course is introduced in the year 2009. And as per the Government Orders issued vide G.O.Ms.No.170, Higher Education (E.II) Dept., dated 4-9-2010, Intermediate course is introduced in the year 20-10-11 under open school system by the A.P. Open School Society through open and Distance Learning (ODL) mode in the State.
  2. He has also reported that, Balvikas Educational Society for the Disabled Children Kukatpally, Hyderabad in their representation dated 22-6-2011 has informed that 13 Dumb & Deaf students of their society appeared for APOSS SSC Public Examination March/April 2011 and requested to extend the benefits of G.O.Ms.No.33 Education (Exams) Department, the Physically Handicapped students of A.P.Open School Society.
  3. The Director, A.P. Open School Society, has further reported that Government had issued certain exemptions to the physically handicapped students appearing for the SSC public examinations under formal system.

Similarly, the Board of Intermediate Education, A.P., Hyderabad also extended these benefits to the physically handicapped students appearing for the Intermediate Public Examinations viz., The orders issued in G.Os / orders are as follows: –

For P.H students appearing for SSC Public Exams:

  1. The Director, A.P. Open School Society, Hyderaband has therefore, requested the Government to issue necessary orders extending the same benefits to Physically handicapped students appearing for SSC and Intermediate Examinations under open school system by the Andhra Pradesh Open School Society, A.P. Hyderabad, subject to the production of original Medical Certificate issued by Medical Board with a minimum of 40% disability:-

4.IV. Students suffering from DISLEXIA:
1. Exemption of one language under Group-A
2. Provision of scribe.
3. Allowing additional time for hour (60 minutes) for each paper.

  1.  Government, after careful examination of the proposal of the Director, Andhra Pradesh Open School Society, Hyderabad, hereby extend the same benefits to the Physically handicapped students appearing for SSC and Intermediate Examinations under open school system by the Andhra Pradesh Open School Society, A.P. Hyderabad as mentioned at para (4) above, subject to the production of original Medical Certificate issued by medical Board with minimum of 40% disability.
  2. The Director, Andhra Pradesh Open School Society, Hyderabad shall take further action accordingly.
  3. This order issues with the concurrence of Finance (ESE) Department vide their U.O.No.029993/552/ESE/2011, dated 19-11-2011.
